Danville Police Arrest Two in Firearms Raid

Danville police have arrested two individuals, including a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old juvenile, following a raid on an apartment that uncovered three illegal firearms. The police conducted their investigation on Saturday evening based on information related to subjects potentially possessing firearms, leading them to the Grove apartment complex.

The successful operation involved securing a search warrant with the assistance of the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office, confirming police suspicions about illegal activities at the location. Both suspects face charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, with Otis being over the legal age limit for firearm possession. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding illegal firearms in the community.
