Gun Storage Check Week Set for June 1-7, 2025

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) announces Gun Storage Check Week, running from June 1 to 7, 2025, to encourage safe firearm storage practices among gun owners. This initiative emphasizes the message “Make Sure It’s Secure,” highlighting the need for vigilance to prevent unauthorized access to firearms, especially by children or individuals in crisis.

During the week, participants can enter a sweepstakes at gunstoragecheck.org to win gun safes and other prizes, with additional entries available for watching firearm safety videos. Joe Bartozzi, NSSF President/CEO, stresses that securely storing firearms can save lives, adding that the website offers resources tailored to various storage needs for gun owners. The campaign aligns with National Safety Month, aiming to reduce firearm-related accidents and promote responsible ownership.
