Oklahoma City Men Guilty of Federal Firearm Charges

Two Oklahoma City residents, Davy Eugene King and Robert Dewayne Mayfield, recently pleaded guilty to federal firearm charges as part of an ongoing initiative to combat violent crime in the area. King, a 52-year-old with a previous murder conviction, faces up to 15 years in federal prison for illegal possession of a firearm, while 23-year-old Mayfield could receive up to 10 years for possessing a converted machinegun.

This collaboration between local law enforcement and federal agencies is a significant step in enhancing public safety efforts, playing a crucial role in initiatives like Operation Take Back America. As part of this partnership, U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester emphasizes the importance of holding violators accountable and reducing firearm-related crimes through strategic enforcement actions.
