Three Arrested for Firearms Offenses in Santa Rosa

Authorities arrested three men in Santa Rosa following a traffic stop late Friday night that unveiled serious firearms and narcotics violations. The police officer initially stopped the vehicle for lacking a front license plate, but the situation escalated when a K9 unit detected firearms inside the car, leading to the discovery of two loaded “ghost guns” and suspected fentanyl.

The driver, 27-year-old Antonio Monter, and passengers Michael Diaz-Fernandez, 25, and Aaron Cade, 23, now face multiple charges stemming from their alleged possession of these unregistered firearms and narcotics. This incident underscores ongoing concerns about illegal firearms in California, prompting local authorities to further investigate the circumstances surrounding the stop and the individuals involved.
