A 49-year-old woman is critically injured after being shot in the head in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, a troubling continuation of rising gun violence in the area. This incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. at the intersection of Walnut Street and East Liberty Street, and the victim is currently hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
The attacker, described as a male in a ski mask, reportedly fired shots from the parking lot of a Shell gas station before fleeing the scene. With the suspect still at large, police are urging the community to come forward with any information to aid in their investigation. This shooting marks the second day in a row that someone has been critically injured in Over-the-Rhine, raising concerns about safety in the neighborhood.
