With a specialized team of 15 violence interrupters, 414LIFE utilizes a public health approach to address the root causes of violence, focusing on community engagement and conflict resolution. Last year, their targeted neighborhood experienced a 31% decrease in homicides and a 6% drop in nonfatal shootings, proving the effectiveness of their proactive measures in changing community norms around gun violence.
