Portland Man Admits to Armed Robberies at Dispensaries

Cory Jackson, 44, pleads guilty to six counts of first-degree robbery involving firearms, admitting to a series of armed robberies that targeted five cannabis dispensaries and a bar in Portland. With his sentencing set for July 9, 2025, Jackson may face a minimum of 20 years in prison, as authorities emphasize the traumatic impact these crimes had on the victims.

Jackson’s admission follows a lengthy investigation that began in February, which included assistance from the Vancouver Police Department. His accomplice, Melissa Ann Maxwell, previously pleaded guilty to several robbery charges and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. “No employee should go to work and face the barrel of a gun,” said Deputy DA Chris Shull, highlighting the vulnerabilities of Portland’s cash-only cannabis industry.
