Search Underway for Accused Bank Robber Who Missed Court

Authorities are actively searching for 36-year-old Jeremiah Bragg, a Jackson County man accused of 13 felony charges related to an armed bank robbery, after he failed to appear in court. Indiana State Police report that Bragg allegedly used a firearm during the robbery in Brownstown, where he escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash along with two accomplices.

Bragg and his associates were apprehended shortly after the incident, but his absence at the scheduled court appearance this week has raised concerns for law enforcement. Officials warn that anyone providing assistance to Bragg may also face legal repercussions and urge the public to report any information on his whereabouts to either the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department or the Indiana State Police.
