In a social media post, Eanochs emphasized his responsibility to ensure community safety and expressed gratitude for residents’ understanding as they navigate these challenging circumstances.
The decision comes on the heels of a mass shooting at Fayette’s annual festival on May 31, where gunfire struck six individuals, claiming the life of 22-year-old Rayshaude D. Hudson. The mayor reassured residents that efforts are underway to address the violence and restore peace, stating, “This is not the end of our celebrations, only a pause until we can come together safely.”
