Hoke County authorities, in collaboration with U.S. Marshals, have arrested Dmirist Ford, suspected of committing multiple armed robberies at Dollar General stores in Raeford and Aberdeen, North Carolina. The investigation began on June 2 when Ford allegedly brandished a handgun during a robbery at a Dollar General on Highway 15/501, where he forced employees to lock the doors in an attempt to gain access to the store’s safe.
Following weeks of investigation and additional incidents, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives helped identify Ford, leading to his arrest on three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Currently held without bond at the Hoke County Detention Center, Ford is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, marking a significant step in addressing rising local crime.
