Desmond Hamilton, a 25-year-old from Ansonia, faces charges for an armed robbery involving an exotic dancer in West Haven, and is also a suspect in a similar incident in Stamford. During the May 18 robbery, the victim reported being attacked at gunpoint after returning home from work, where she lost her wallet containing $2,500 in cash and personal items.
Police have noted Hamilton’s connection to both cases, as records placed his cellphone near the crime scenes shortly before each robbery. With Hamilton already on probation for a previous robbery conviction, investigators are examining possible links to the Stamford incident, and the case raises concerns about the safety of individuals working in the nightlife industry.
