Child Hospitalized After Smyrna Road Rage Shooting

A 6-year-old child is now in the hospital after being caught in a shootout during a road rage incident in Smyrna, Georgia, on Sunday afternoon. The shootout occurred at the busy intersection of Spring Road and Campbell Road, where two drivers exchanged gunfire while children were present in both vehicles.

Residents express deep concern over the rising trend of violence on the roads, with one local father stating that frustration is no justification for such extreme actions. Arrested suspects Craig Calhoun and Eric Rushi face multiple charges, including aggravated assault and child cruelty, leaving the community questioning how anger can escalate into life-threatening situations. Police have not yet provided an update on the child’s condition but confirm the suspects are in custody without bond.
