Everett police have arrested four teenagers in connection with gang-related graffiti and stolen firearms, raising alarm over youth crime in the community. The investigation began in March when officers noticed increased graffiti in the area and subsequently tracked down the suspects using license plate readers, leading to the discovery of three loaded pistols in their vehicle.
Among those arrested are two 15-year-olds and an 18-year-old, with charges including unlawful possession of firearms and graffiti-related offenses. As Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin emphasized, the link between firearms and young individuals involved in gang activities is particularly troubling, highlighting the urgency for preventive measures to avert future violence in the community.
