Waterbury police have arrested 32-year-old John Teardo in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at Sam’s Deli on Highland Avenue. The incident was reported on June 14 when Teardo allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded cash from the register before fleeing the scene.
An investigation by the Waterbury Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau led to the execution of search warrants at Teardo’s residence. No injuries were reported during the robbery, and Teardo is currently held on a $10,000 bond, awaiting arraignment in court.
