Boston Police Identify Shooting Victim in Roxbury Car Crash

Boston police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred before a car crash in Roxbury as 21-year-old Theo Vernice from Hyde Park. Authorities responded to the scene on Ruthven Street around 10 p.m. Thursday and found Vernice suffering from a gunshot wound inside his crashed vehicle.

Emergency Medical Services transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy later confirmed that he died from the gunshot wound. The police are actively investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to contact homicide detectives or reach out through the CrimeStoppers program for anonymous tips.
