Cederick Dion Dixon, a 38-year-old resident of Fort Mill, has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for possessing an illegal firearm discovered during a traffic stop in January 2023. The S.C. Dixon’s prior convictions, which include attempted armed robbery and distribution of crack cocaine, contributed to the severity of his sentencing. U.S. Attorney Brian P. Stirling noted that Dixon pleaded guilty earlier this year, and letters from family expressed hope for his rehabilitation efforts while incarcerated. Interestingly, Dixon also forfeited over $4,000 as part of his plea agreement, reflecting the ongoing consequences of his legal troubles.
