A Quincy man, Glenn Legere, is now facing federal charges for allegedly robbing a Santander Bank in Weymouth at gunpoint last December. Prosecutors report that Legere, 46, entered the bank shortly before closing, armed with a firearm, and demanded money from employees while intimidating them with threats.
The incident took place on December 17, 2024, and resulted in Legere making off with approximately $947 in cash. Authorities later linked him to the crime through surveillance footage and his prior criminal record, which includes multiple convictions for bank robbery. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison along with hefty fines.
