Fresno police have released body-worn camera and surveillance footage depicting an officer’s response to a serious domestic violence incident involving Martin Campos, 32, who allegedly pistol whipped his ex-girlfriend and threatened her while she was on a 911 call. The pursuit culminated in the officer firing several rounds at Campos’ vehicle, although authorities confirmed no one was injured during the incident that took place on June 27, 2025.
The footage shows the woman fleeing in a vehicle with her child in the back seat, while Campos pursued her and struck her car in an aggressive chase. With Campos allegedly brandishing a firearm, police were able to intervene before anyone sustained life-threatening injuries, leading to Campos’ arrest on 11 charges, including attempted murder. The dramatic response highlights ongoing concerns around domestic violence and law enforcement engagement in such high-stakes situations.
