East Grand Forks City Council Greenlights Fall Deer Hunts

The East Grand Forks City Council has officially approved plans for two fall deer hunts, issuing a total of 16 permits this season. The first hunt, scheduled for October 9-11, focuses on veterans and individuals with disabilities, offering four permits that include both buck and anterless options, ensuring inclusivity in hunting opportunities.

Following this, a second hunt will take place from November 15 to November 23, providing priority to city residents with eight anterless and two buck permits available. If demand is low among residents, permits may be allocated to non-residents. All participants must attend an orientation and demonstrate their skills to the East Grand Forks Police Department, highlighting the city’s commitment to responsible hunting practices.
