Detroit police are actively searching for a suspect following a shooting that injured a 24-year-old man on a city bus early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 7:25 a.m. near Eight Mile Road and Mt. Elliott Street, where, according to officials, the assailant approached the victim and fired a gun before fleeing the scene.
Police have released security camera images of the suspect, described as a man in his 50s wearing a baseball cap and a white T-shirt. The Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) is enhancing security on buses in response to this and previous incidents, aiming to reassure the approximately 40,000 daily riders of their safety. Meanwhile, police encourage anyone with information to contact them or submit tips anonymously online.
