A proposed seven-year sentence is on the table for Scott Waterman, dubbed “The Gun Guy,” following the largest seizure of illegal weapons in the province’s history. During a 2022 investigation, police confiscated over a hundred firearms of various types, alongside 3D printers used to manufacture weapons and other illegal items like silencers and brass knuckles.
Initially charged with 140 offenses, Waterman’s plea deal reduced his charges to seven related to the possession and trafficking of illegal weapons. His previous conviction for smuggling tasers into Canada compounds the seriousness of his actions, leading to a joint submission for the lengthy sentence. Waterman is set for sentencing on September 11th, as he faces consequences for his extensive trafficking activities.
