Laredo Robbery Case: Sentencing Set for Next Week

Bryan Alexander Gutierrez, a 17-year-old who pleaded guilty to an armed robbery in Laredo, is scheduled for sentencing on Monday, July 7. The robbery occurred on October 12, 2022, at a store in the 3400 block of North Arkansas Avenue, where Gutierrez was later arrested thanks to an anonymous tip from the community.

In June 2025, Gutierrez waived his right to a jury trial and entered a guilty plea before 111th District Judge Monica Notzon. As the case unfolds, it highlights the crucial role of community involvement in law enforcement, prompting public interest in the eventual outcome of his sentencing in the 111th District Court.
