In recognition of National Gun Violence Day, a recent article highlights disturbing statistics on gun violence in the United States, revealing an average of one mass shooting per day. Additionally, the statistics illustrate significant racial disparities; black Americans, making up 13% of the population, account for over half of all gun homicide victims.
