The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into an armed robbery that occurred at Cash America Pawn on Blanding Boulevard on July 5. The incident involved three suspects, all dressed in black and wearing masks, who made off with approximately $9,000 in jewelry after one of them held the store door open while the others committed the theft.
As the suspects fled on foot toward the Country Cabin Restaurant, two customers at the pawn shop reportedly fired shots in their direction. Fortunately, it remains unclear if anyone was injured. The incident resulted in about $6,300 in damages to the store, leading to its temporary closure, while detectives are actively reviewing witness statements and surveillance footage to track down the suspects.
