A Pennsylvania man, Anthony Randall, is sentenced to 25 years and 19 days in prison after executing 19 armed robberies, according to the Department of Justice. This sentence comes just months after Randall was released from federal prison for a separate string of armed robberies in 2006, highlighting a concerning cycle of violent crime.
During his crime spree in the fall of 2021, Randall targeted businesses including a CVS and a Philadelphia Pretzel Factory, instilling fear in local communities. U.S. Attorney David Metcalf emphasized the priority of holding repeat offenders accountable, stating, “No one should have to live or work in fear,” as law enforcement agencies continue to tackle such violent crimes in Philadelphia.
