Authorities have arrested 32-year-old Angel F. Gil in Allentown after a major drug operation led to the seizure of over six kilograms of cocaine and multiple firearms, including a ghost gun. The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office announced that the charges stem from a comprehensive investigation into Gil’s role in the local cocaine trade, which culminated in the execution of search warrants at two properties linked to him.
During the searches, officials uncovered three handguns, a kilogram of cocaine, and more than $35,000 in cash hidden in his vehicle. Notably, Gil, who has prior convictions for drug-related offenses, is now being held on a $500,000 bail at Lehigh County Jail as he prepares to face felony charges for drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession, underscoring the ongoing challenges of narcotics in the region.
