Two men are arrested for their alleged involvement in an armed robbery at a Vallejo business, thanks to a GPS tracker hidden within the stolen cash. The robbery occurred Saturday night when one suspect brandished a firearm inside the store while the other waited outside; they fled the scene with approximately $300. The Vallejo Police Department revealed that the tracker allowed them to locate the suspects within a nearby neighborhood shortly after the crime took place.
The coordinated response involved multiple law enforcement agencies and culminated in the capture of both suspects, one of whom attempted to hide under a truck. Officers also recovered a loaded firearm, clothing matching that worn during the robbery, and the stolen cash, discarded just beyond the perimeter set by police. Both suspects, who have prior felony convictions, now face armed robbery charges and are in custody at the Solano County Jail.
