An armed bystander prevents a robbery at a Zaxby’s fast-food restaurant in Alpharetta, Georgia, by shooting a suspect who threatened a manager with a firearm. The incident occurred as the restaurant was closing on Sunday night, when a 57-year-old man attempted to rob the manager in the parking lot but was met with swift action from a nearby customer who also had a gun.
According to police, the bystander shot the suspect after he pointed his gun at both the manager and the witness. The suspect, who fled into the woods after being wounded, will face multiple charges, including armed robbery. Thankfully, the manager sustained only minor injuries and is expected to recover, and police confirmed that the bystander will not face any charges due to the self-defense provisions under Georgia law.
