In a troubling incident that unfolded in the early hours of Saturday morning, a 25-year-old man in New Rochelle was assaulted and robbed of $75,000 in jewelry during a targeted home invasion. The crime occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. when the victim returned to his residence on Kewanee Road and was confronted by two suspects armed with semi-automatic handguns, according to local police.
The assailants pistol-whipped the man before fleeing the scene with the stolen jewelry, leaving him with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities describe the suspects as Black males in their 20s or 30s, both wearing masks at the time of the robbery. The New Rochelle Police Department is actively investigating this isolated incident and is seeking tips from the public to help apprehend the suspects.
