Northwell Launches Gun Safety PSA to Protect Children

Northwell Health introduces a powerful new public service campaign focused on reducing firearm-related deaths among children, reiterating its commitment to treating gun violence as a public health crisis. The campaign features a poignant 30-second television advertisement titled “Things We Can Treat,” which juxtaposes images of children recovering from injuries with unsettling scenes of unsecured firearms, delivering the stark message that “Guns are the No. 1 killer of kids.”

This initiative, developed in partnership with advertising agency StrawberryFrog, begins airing on July 21 across various platforms in the New York metro area. It builds upon Northwell’s previous campaign, “Doesn’t Kill to Ask,” which encouraged parents to discuss gun storage during playdates. With the increasing urgency of gun safety discussions nationwide, Northwell’s latest effort aims to foster awareness and promote safe practices for families.
