A 16-year-old boy from Glendale Heights is charged with possessing a high-capacity ghost gun, which authorities seized during a police response to a graffiti incident. Along with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, he faces a misdemeanor for resisting or obstructing a peace officer, highlighting concerns about youth involvement with firearms.
In the wake of the incident, police reported that the teenager was apprehended shortly after four suspects fled the scene, and officers located what appeared to be a 3D-printed weapon equipped with a 50-round drum magazine. The boy was already under court supervision for a separate driving violation, and his next court appearance is set for July 28.
