Key findings highlight critical repair delays for safety infrastructure, including broken doors and faulty PA systems, which directly compromise the safety of students and staff during emergencies.

The OIG also notes inconsistent safety policies that hinder emergency communications and conflict resolution, emphasizing the urgent need for reform. DCPS has acknowledged these findings and plans to implement the recommended changes starting January 30.
