Two Arrested for Robbery in Eugene Armed Incident

Two individuals, 22-year-old Merceydes Lynn Weavill and 24-year-old Daylon Michael Clarke, are arrested for armed robbery after a dispute in the parking structure of the 13th Olive Apartments on Willamette Street. The incident escalated when Clarke displayed a firearm to aid Weavill—who was allegedly fleeing with stolen cash—as the victim pursued her.

Officers responded swiftly to the scene early Thursday morning, securing both suspects who initially refused to exit their location. A search warrant led to the recovery of a firearm from the apartment, and both suspects now face multiple charges including first-degree robbery and possession of a weapon. This incident highlights ongoing concerns over safety in Eugene as police continue to address such armed disputes.
