Peoria police have arrested 28-year-old Ashten Bean in connection with an armed robbery at the Knoxville Food Mart, which occurred on July 23. Witnesses reported that Bean entered the store brandishing a long rifle, stole merchandise, and then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Authorities located Bean the following day at a residence on North Linn Street, taking him into custody without incident. He now faces charges of armed robbery and has an active warrant against him, with police confirming he remains held at the Peoria County Jail as they continue their investigation.
