Wethersfield police are actively searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery at a Motel 6 that occurred late Sunday night. The suspects, described as Hispanic men armed with handguns, allegedly forced the motel clerk into the back office and demanded cash, while also stealing personal items including the clerk’s phone and wristwatch.
The robbery took place around 10:16 p.m. at 1341 Silas Deane Highway. Authorities report the suspects fled the scene in a white 2017 Hyundai Elantra, which had been reported stolen out of Hartford.
