The Seattle Police Department (SPD) has arrested a suspect in Belltown for selling drugs and carrying a ghost gun during a targeted operation on Monday. Officers observed the suspect exchanging cash for a small vial of what was later identified as crack cocaine in a busy crosswalk near 2nd Avenue and Blanchard Street.
Upon arrest, authorities recovered an unserialized handgun, commonly referred to as a ghost gun, along with $264 in cash and a digital scale linked to drug trafficking. The suspect now faces serious charges for possession of both drugs and a firearm, raising concerns about the rising prevalence of ghost guns in urban areas.
