A 37-year-old man from Newark is sentenced to seven years in federal prison for two bank robberies committed in February 2023. Joshua Lewis demanded cash at both the Artisans Bank in Stanton and the Shore United Bank in Dover, leaving law enforcement with a total of over $6,000 stolen.
During his arrest, authorities discovered a loaded ghost gun—a weapon without a serial number—and additional ammunition in his vehicle and residence. The presence of this untraceable firearm raises concerns about the increasing use of such weapons in crimes.
