The Philadelphia Police Department introduces “Summer Night Lights,” a month-long initiative designed to enhance safety for children amid rising gun violence. This initiative comes in response to alarming statistics, with 175 shooting incidents recorded near local playgrounds since 2015, affecting 14 children.
