A Wake County woman, Ashley Nicole Zendzian, is charged with stealing nine handguns and a silencer from a family member, facing a total of 11 felony charges. The theft was reported on July 18, but according to investigators, the firearms went missing four days earlier, leading the victim to suspect a family member was involved.
The arrest occurred after a joint investigation by the Wake County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service. Among the stolen items are a diverse array of handguns, including popular models like the Smith & Wesson M&P 9 and Sig Sauer P365, alongside an Osprey suppressor. Zendzian is currently being held on a $20,000 bond, with her first court appearance set for August 4.
