Co-founders Stephanie Jacobs and Daniel Perlman emphasize that this capitalism-based initiative is a response to legislative inaction on gun reform. Their website rates various companies, including calling out retailers such as Walmart for selling guns and praising firms like Costco for their policies against stocking firearms from leading manufacturers. The group’s goal is to directly impact the profitability of gun makers through consumer choices.
