This year, 158 firearms have been reported stolen compared to 251 at the same time last year, prompting officials to stress the importance of responsible gun ownership. District Attorney Jason Williams attributes the growing trend of decreased thefts to community vigilance and police responsiveness, emphasizing that securing firearms can prevent such incidents.
