A 33-year-old man from New Haven, Jeffon Franklin, is in police custody following a raid on his home where officers discovered a significant stash of narcotics alongside illegal firearms. During the search, authorities seized six guns, including one reported stolen, as well as various drugs such as fentanyl, crack cocaine, and oxycodone.
Franklin faces numerous serious charges, including criminal possession of a firearm and drug-related offenses, and is currently held on a $1 million bond. This arrest highlights ongoing concerns about the intersection of gun violence and the opioid crisis in the community.
