The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has identified Officer Kent Cleveland as the police officer involved in a shooting incident in Walker, Minnesota, where he shot a man wielding a knife outside a Dollar General store. The suspect, 31-year-old Dillon Kloehn, faces multiple charges, including first-degree assault against a peace officer and attempted aggravated robbery, following a series of alarming threats made to store employees.
According to reports, the incident escalated when Kloehn, who was reportedly acting erratically and dressed in boxers, threatened to kill staff and failed to heed commands to drop the knife. Officer Cleveland, who has been placed on administrative leave in accordance with standard protocol, fired a single shot that struck Kloehn in the arm as the suspect approached him. The BCA is currently conducting an investigation, which will be submitted to the county attorney for further review.
