His lengthy criminal history, featuring 14 felony convictions, prohibited him from owning firearms and showcases the importance of enforcement in reducing gun violence. The case was prosecuted under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a national initiative aimed at creating safer communities by tackling violent crime.
