This operation stemmed from an investigation initiated by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia, leading to a search warrant executed at a residence on Ascension Drive in west Asheville.
During the raid, officers discovered a significant amount of fentanyl and marijuana, alongside four handguns, one of which was reported stolen. Among the detained were Deonte Sincere Gardner, who faces multiple charges including felony trafficking of opium, and Rasheed Jahaad Grant, who was charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
