The Colorado State Shooting Association has filed a lawsuit against the state, seeking to block a new gun control law that imposes a permit-to-purchase requirement for semiautomatic firearms and shotguns. Among the plaintiffs is Air Force veteran Israel Del Toro, whose injuries from combat made traditional firearms difficult to handle. He contends that the law will ban essential equipment that accommodates his physical limitations, including specific firearm accessories.
