Witnesses report that Jones shot Mapp multiple times from behind during a dispute over stolen property as Mapp attempted to walk away, marking a violent escalation of their ongoing feud.
Following the shooting, police find Jones’ phone records alarming, revealing he contacted his wife over 50 times within an hour after the incident. In addition to the murder charge, Jones faces illegal possession of firearms, with police discovering two handguns and ammunition in his home.
