A man is hospitalized following an officer-involved shooting in Dyer County, Tennessee, after leading law enforcement on a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle. The incident began around 10 p.m. on Monday when officers attempted to stop 44-year-old Jeremy Lemons, who was reportedly armed with multiple weapons, prompting a chase that ended in the Tatumville community.
Family members who arrived at the scene describe a chaotic atmosphere as deputies responded to Lemons, who allegedly brandished a rifle before he was shot three times by officers. His uncle, Anthony Lemons, stated that Jeremy was shot in the face, arm, and leg but remains in stable condition at a Memphis hospital. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is now looking into the circumstances of the shooting, a standard procedure whenever officers discharge their weapons.
