Two Teens Arrested in Waterbury Vehicle Theft Incident

In Waterbury, Connecticut, two teenage boys have been arrested after a police investigation uncovered their involvement with a stolen vehicle and firearm. Officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force observed the boys in a 2016 Honda HRV, which had a stolen license plate and had been reported stolen out of New York.

During a brief foot chase, the 15-year-old suspect discarded a Kel-Tec FP9 firearm before being apprehended, while the 17-year-old remained at the scene. Both suspects now face multiple charges, including theft of a motor vehicle and illegal possession of a firearm. Police are urging anyone with information about stolen vehicles or suspicious activity to come forward.
