Since its incorporation into TRADEWINDS in 2014, the Caribbean Task Force has become a vital component of regional defense efforts, supported by Canadian experts since 2017. Participants engage in realistic simulations that test crisis response skills, covering areas like resource management and joint intelligence operations, with an emphasis on sustained collaboration beyond the exercise itself. “The command team centers resources and deploys assets to where they are required,” notes Maj. Zenon Ciego of the Belize Defence Force, underscoring the importance of coordinated logistics for effective response to real-world threats.
